The East Neuk Food Bank was set up by Anstruther Church in April 2013.

We will provide food aid to individuals and families in need in the area.

Food is donated by local churches, school groups and at an in store collection point in Anstruther Co-op.

Volunteers pack the food in parcels for approximately 3 days meals plus teas and coffees.

When donations are low the Foodbank will purchase additional food.

The ENERGI group based in St Monans are on hand during opening hours to provide additional advice and help including Benefits and power companies.

Over 3000 parcels have been distributed since April 2013.

The East Neuk Foodbank is run by a Voluntary Committee, Volunteers and one part time member of staff funded through the Robertson Trust, Awards for All, and Fife Poverty Action funds,(cash donations to the foodbank are not used for wages but go to buying food, distribution and promoting the foodbank to access those in need and potential donors)
